Our Story

When Meadowlark started back in 2016, I wasn’t a landscape guy at all. I was 12 years old, and my entire motivation was simple: I wanted to make enough money to buy both an Xbox and a PlayStation.

My friends and family were split between the two systems, and I couldn’t bring myself to choose just one. I asked everyone what I should do. Some said to save up. Others said it was completely up to me. But one person had a different idea: “Why not just buy both?”

It sounded unrealistic—but also exciting.

When I asked how that would even be possible with the money I had, that person pulled up Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist and started showing me used lawn equipment. That moment changed everything. I bought what I could afford, started mowing lawns, and learned as I went—through trial and error, long days, and a growing appreciation for hard work.

What began as a way to fund a childhood goal slowly turned into something much bigger. Over time, my skills improved, the equipment upgraded, and the jobs became more complex. Without realizing it at first, I had built the foundation of a real business.

Today, Meadowlark provides dependable, high-quality landscaping services rooted in that same mindset I started with: show up, work hard, and take pride in the results. Whether it’s maintaining, improving, or transforming outdoor spaces, my focus is on doing the job right and building lasting relationships with the people I serve.

What started as a simple idea has grown into a business I’m proud of—and it’s only just getting started.
